On Hollyburn

Mick and Sheila – that’s us, and this blog is all about the part where we plunge into the guts of Eurasia on a Hurtlin’, speedin’ train. We are not into trains in a nerdy way, we just like the idea of travelling across the world in an old-fashioned, “Palinesque” manner with no particular rush to get us to wherever it is we want to go. We plan to roughly follow whatever backpacker trails we happen to stumble upon; with some older-person, semi-luxury interludes and the odd unashamedly tourist activity where appropriate.

We are not clubbers, but we do like music and food, and I like beer. At some point in the following year we will end up in Sydney. Getting there should be fun.
